Change in Leadership & Allegations at United Way Worldwide

• News

United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley is aware of the change in leadership and the reported allegations of misconduct at United Way Worldwide. These matters do not affect our local United Way.

United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley does not and will not tolerate any type of discrimination or harassment of our employees, volunteers, applicants for employment, or our donors. We expect the same from our United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley members and from all United Way organizations globally.

While United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley is a member of the network of United Ways, we are a fully independent 501c3 organization governed by a board of local leaders in the Chattahoochee Valley. All money raised is raised and distributed locally. To be considered part of the United Way network, we do a pay a small percentage of our revenue to United Way Worldwide in order to use the United Way branding and be a part of the vast network of other local United Ways to exchange best practices on how to best serve our community. Worldwide has no authority over our governance or operations.

United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley is committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment that is free from harassment and violence. We thank you for your continued partnership and support.
