A supportive housing program can help create stability during difficult seasons of life.
For individuals and families navigating housing instability, barriers often overlap. Access to safe housing, steady employment, recovery support, childcare, and strong relationships all play an important role in building long-term security.
For Tamara, rebuilding stability took time, support, and determination.
After experiencing an extended period of housing instability, Tamara came to The House of T.I.M.E., Inc. seeking support as she worked toward a more stable future for herself and her family. Along the way, she faced significant barriers, including limited resources, recovery needs, and the challenge of rebuilding support systems.
Like many people working through difficult circumstances, Tamara wanted the opportunity to regain stability and move forward.
How a Supportive Housing Program Helped Build Stability
Through The House of T.I.M.E.’s supportive housing program, Tamara gained access to services designed to support both immediate needs and long-term stability.
Over a 17-month period, she received stable housing, recovery support, childcare assistance, and ongoing case management. The program also helped her strengthen life skills, connect to resources, and work toward greater financial independence.
Just as importantly, Tamara stayed committed to her goals.
With consistent support and encouragement, she remained engaged in services while taking meaningful steps toward long-term stability. Along the way, she secured employment and continued to grow professionally. Today, she has maintained employment for more than 14 months and recently earned a management position.
Her progress reflects both personal determination and the power of having the right support at the right time.
How Supportive Housing Program Services Create Stability
In January, Tamara reached an important milestone when she transitioned into her own apartment and began maintaining housing independently.
She has also made meaningful progress toward strengthening family stability and reconnecting with her children. As she continues building a secure foundation, she has gained greater opportunities to care for and spend time with them.
Today, Tamara continues moving forward with greater stability, confidence, and hope for the future.
Her story reflects what is possible when people have access to support, opportunity, and the resources needed to build lasting change.
