A CASA Volunteer Stayed Through Every Chapter

A CASA volunteer can become one of the few consistent voices in a child’s life during foster care.

For one young girl, that consistent voice came from Julie, a volunteer with Chattahoochee CASA.

Over the years, the child experienced repeated changes in placement and faced uncertainty that no child should have to endure. Through every transition, Julie remained by her side, advocating for her best interests, speaking on her behalf in court, and reminding her that she was never alone.

Even when the child’s placement moved out of state, Julie’s commitment never changed.

The organization describes Julie’s impact this way:

Chattahoochee CASA, a program of Twin Cedars Youth and Family Services, Inc. and a funded Community Investment partner of United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley, recruits, trains, and supports CASA volunteers who advocate for children experiencing foster care, helping ensure every child has someone focused solely on their best interests.

For this child, that advocacy meant having one caring, consistent adult who never stopped believing a permanent family was possible.

Every Child Deserves Someone Who Won’t Give Up

After more than a decade in foster care, the day finally came.

She found her forever family through adoption, with Julie by her side to celebrate one of the most important moments of her life.

That milestone represented far more than the end of a court case. It marked the beginning of a new chapter built on stability, belonging, and hope.
